Rotating IWC Logos Dazzle World’s Wine Elite

The International Wine Challenge is respected the world over. Recognised as the world’s finest and most meticulously judged wine competition, it attracted over 14,000 entries this year, all drawn by the extensive kudos and commercial benefits of winning.  Special EFX has manufactured the treasured IWC trophies for many years, which this year included a Union flag variation. The new award was specifically created for the UK Merchants national competition and to support the IWC’s expansion into international markets. Manufactured in polished nickel plated aluminium, the trophies flaunt the familiar IWC logo, which is set-off against the bold colours of the Union Jack flag and laser printed on acrylic.

The ultimate winners are announced at the glittering, annual IWC Gala Dinner, attended by the élite of the international wine world and held this year at Hilton Park Lane, London. EFX designed and manufactured large scale, rotating IWC logos to decorate the stage, along with a mega sized logo that provided a central back-drop to the awards ceremony. The rotating awards stood 1.8m tall, were clad in mirror finished acrylic and mounted on rotating carousels. Chris Ashton, who heads up the organisation of the IWC, was impressed with the effect: “We directed lights onto the rotating logos, which created the desired extra glitter – just perfect for the occasion.”
